Environment Agency: Waste Technology Data Centre Case Study

In January 2005 representatives from the Environment Agency visited the ArrowBio reference site at the Hiriya transfer station in Tel Aviv to complete a technical case study of the technology. The case is freely available on the Environment Agency Waste Technology Data Centre (WTDC) website http://www.environment-agency.gov.uk/wtd/679004/679026/679085/1089064/?version=1&lang=_e The WTDC is an initiative funded under the ‘Waste Implementation Programme’, the government’s response to the Waste Strategy 2000 report outlining the waste management issues faced by local authorities in England and Wales over the forthcoming years.

Don Ridley from the Environment Agency issued the following comment:

"By washing the recovered recyclates and then digesting the degradable material in an efficient two-stage digestion process.  ArrowBio has huge potential in the UK"
